With the new 2026 plans in place, the upgrade modal got a round of polish:
- Uniform plan cards. The cards had different heights — Pro, with an extra feature line, sat taller than its neighbors — and the “Select” buttons landed at different vertical positions. The grid now sizes every card to the tallest in the set, so all the cards line up and every call-to-action sits on the same baseline.
- A matching Gift button. The “Gift a plan” card's button was a small inline pill while the plan buttons were full-width. It's now full-width and bottom-aligned like the rest, so the row reads as one consistent set.
- No more flicker. Opening or closing the modal made the chat behind it flicker. The cause was the modal forcing the page's scroll setting on open and resetting it on close — which briefly re-introduced a scrollbar and reflowed the chat pane. Since the app already locks background scroll globally, the modal no longer touches it, and the flicker is gone.
Why it matters
The upgrade screen is where people decide to pay. Cards that don't line up and a chat that flickers every time the modal opens read as unfinished — exactly the wrong impression at the moment of purchase. Now it's calm and even.
